This policy covers myvoteforward.org. The demo at demo.myvoteforward.com is a separate site and describes its own data handling. This policy describes how the site actually operates; it is not a legal conclusion about which privacy laws apply in your jurisdiction.
Reading myvoteforward.org collects no profile
You can read every page without an account, without registering and without giving any information. My Vote Forward sets no cookies, runs no analytics, advertising or tracking pixels, and records no sessions. It does not ask for or store your priorities, opinions or votes.
Hosting and technical request data
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. To deliver and protect the site, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as IP addresses, browser type and the pages requested, under its own policies. My Vote Forward does not use that data to build profiles of visitors and does not add it to any database of its own.
What the contact form stores
If you use the contact and corrections form, the site stores what you submit: the topic, your message, the page you are reporting (if any), and, only if you choose to give them, a name and a reply address. The purpose is to answer questions and fix errors. Specifically:
- Retention. Each submission is deleted automatically 90 days after it is received.
- Access. Submissions are readable only by the site's administrators through an authenticated admin panel. They are not emailed, shared, sold or published.
- Abuse protection. To limit floods of automated messages, the site keeps a one-way hash of your IP address for one hour to count submissions. The IP address itself is not stored.
- Your choice. Please do not include political opinions or anything about how you vote. The form does not need them, and the site does not want them.
My Vote Forward is not a data business
My Vote Forward does not sell data, share data with campaigns, accept payment to rank issues, or target anyone with political messages. Visitor information is never sent to content-generation tools.
Ask about or delete what you sent
To ask what is stored about a submission you made, or to have it deleted before the 90 days are up, use the contact form with the topic "Privacy request" and describe the submission. The site has no other record that would identify you.
